Hawthorne worked with one of the largest Private Equity Infrastructure Funds to acquire, develop and manage airport infrastructure projects across North America.

Projects included core infrastructure such as Airport Terminals, Hangars and Fuel Farms as well as acquisition of operating companies related to airport infrastructure

Hawthorne acted as the general aviation due diligence advisor and interim operating partner for Global Technology Investments, LLC in its investment in the premier general aviation maintenance provider in India.  Hawthorne advised in all aspects of the investment transaction leading to the development of a comprehensive general aviation services business in India.  Hawthorne’s responsibilities included implementing western style best management practices (both financial and operational) to efficiently manage FBO operations, MRO operations and the fleet of managed aircraft as well as providing business plan preparation for expansion into additional lines of business.  Hawthorne has also been active in other projects in India and the Middle East.

Hawthorne was retained to provide advisory and operational management services to the New Mexico Spaceport Authority as they developed the world’s first greenfield spaceport/airport dedicated to commercial space flight and the future home of Virgin Galactic.  In this capacity, Hawthorne negotiated the development agreement and facilities lease agreement on behalf of the New Mexico Airport Authority.

Hawthorne performed deal diligence, acquisition advisiory services and business plan development for Comlux Aviation's acquisition of the Indianapolis Jet Center.
Comlux invested in the Indianapolis-based completion and refurbishment center  to become one of the leading providers of executive cabin completions. 

Hawthorne Corporation has acquired AmVest Capital, LLC, a leading commercial real estate mortgage banker based in Hilton Head, SC. The investment will provide AmVest with working capital to increase their staff and systematize their processes in order to meet the increased demand which is being experienced in the marketplace and to expand nationally.

Hawthorne provided operational management to Petters Aviation for the company’s Airbus ACJ Elite program including:

• Establishment of an aircraft sales and service facility
• Program management for aircraft charter and operations
• Management of an aircraft sales program including the right to market the Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) in North America

Hawthorne invested in ThinLine, LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of high-technology equestrian products that offer superior shock absorption, non-slip fit, durability and breathability, and anti-microbial protection. Thinline's product line includes saddle pads, protective boots, and girths and has been endorsed by top riders across multiple disciplines.  Hawthorne exited ThinLine in 2009.

HBFS specializes in cross border transactions with European and other international companies and financing sources.

Hawthorne assisted a leading aviation firm in pursuing a consolidation strategy for Fixed Base Operations, Airports and related Infrastructure throughout continental Europe and the United Kingdom.

Hawthorne, through its subsidiary company, HC Back Bay, LLC, has purchased the remaining condominium units in the Back Bay development on Folly Beach, South Carolina for $2.1M.

Hawthorne acted as advisor to Petters Aviation in their acquisition of three Marshall, Minnesota based aircraft management and charter companies:  Southwest Aviation, Inc, Charter First and Midwest Avaition
